Hello, my name is Chris, I’m a UX Lead at AKQA. Originally from Berlin, Germany, I now call San Francisco my home.
I started my career as a graphic and motion designer in advertising and branding. Designing brand management portals for a leading global brand consultancy pulled me toward product design. Passionate about the interfaces between humans and technology, I went on to earn two master's degrees in industrial and integrated design.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with highly creative international teams on designing digital experiences for some of the world's most iconic brands.
I enjoy analyzing complexity, identifying the right problems to solve, and creating experiences that are proactive, supportive, and delightful.
My work includes defining patterns of interaction, layout, typography, form, color, and motion. Recently, I've been focused on building interactive prototypes with Claude Code and bringing them to life for user testing.
In my current role at AKQA, I lead end-to-end UX projects, drive both strategic and creative workflows, and mentor junior designers.
In my free time, I enjoy motorcycling and producing electronic music.
