Hi, I'm Chris. I lead UX at AKQA. Originally from Berlin, I now call San Francisco my home.
I enjoy analyzing complexity, identifying the right problems to solve, and creating experiences that are proactive, supportive, and delightful. My work includes defining patterns of interaction, layout, typography, form, color, and motion. Recently, I've been focused on building tools and prototypes with Claude and bringing them to life for user testing.
I started my career as a graphic designer in advertising and branding. Designing brand management platforms for a leading global brand consultancy pulled me toward product design. Passionate about the interfaces between humans and technology, I went on to earn two master's degrees in industrial and integrated design.
Since then, I've had the privilege of working with highly creative international teams on designing digital experiences for some of the world's most iconic brands.
In my current role at AKQA, I lead end-to-end UX projects, drive both strategic and creative workflows, and mentor junior designers.
In my free time, I enjoy motorcycling and producing electronic music.
